Young Kama

Kama was five years old the first time she heard violin played live. She commented on how "it chases the blues away!" Today, after thirteen years of study, she has that same magical effect on her audience. Her playing is pure delight. Whether she's mastering the classics, or "fiddling" around with gypsy tunes, her music is beautifully alive and moving.

Smiling Kama

Kama has played solo, with other violinists, in ensembles, and as concertmaster in string orchestras and young symphony orchestras. She has played for weddings, parties, benefits, memorial services and around campfires. She is as comfortable outdoors as she is indoors. She has played a wide variety of music for young and old, in many different situations. Kama is versatile, competent, and a delight to work with.

Kama recently received the Crane School of Music Bailey Award for worthy and promising students who exhibit character, scholarship, aptitude and demonstrate excellence in instrumental music. In 2008 she was a prizewinner in the Orchestra of Northern New York Young Artists Concerto Competition.

New Year's Eve 2010
Kama will be a solo performer at First Night Saranac Lake.
She will be performing light classical violin music
including works by Bach, Elgar, Kreisler, and Sarasate.
